About ChatMatch: Why We Built a Faster Video Match

We wanted the shortest path between "I want to talk to someone" and an actual conversation. This is the short story of how we approach it.

Most video chat sites ask for too much before they give you anything: a form, a profile, a download. ChatMatch starts from the opposite place. You should be able to open a tab, tap once and be talking to a person in seconds.

That is the whole idea. Everything else on the site, from the skip button to the safety tools, exists to make that idea feel comfortable instead of reckless.

What ChatMatch is

ChatMatch is a live video chat match service that runs in your browser. It pairs two people who are online at the same moment, opens a call, and gets out of the way. You can switch between video, audio and text matching, and you can leave a match whenever you like.

What we stand for

  • Speed. The first hello should arrive in seconds, not after a sign-up form.
